McDonald's Vegan Menu

We all know McDonald’s as one of the biggest and most successful fast-food chains in the world. In fact, there are almost 40,000 McDonald’s restaurants dotted around the globe. But are there vegan options at McDonald’s? Let’s take a look.

It’s very difficult to eat vegan food at McDonald’s. According to their website, there are 3 vegan food options available. In the US, even the fries and the hash browns contain “natural beef flavoring,” which contains milk. The McDonald’s vegan menu is made up of the baked apple pie, the apple slices, and the fruit and maple oatmeal (but only if you ask for it without cream). Clearly, there isn’t a huge amount to choose from.

The good news is that if you visit McDonald’s restaurants in other countries, you’ll have a little more choice if you’re a vegan. In the UK, for example, you can order the veggie dippers or the spicy veggie wrap. The vegetable deluxe burger can also be made vegan if you ask for no sandwich sauce. McDonald’s has also announced that they plan to introduce a McPlant range of burgers that will cater better to vegans and vegetarians. Until then, we recommend sticking to the tasty apple pie!
