Shake Shack is a very popular fast-food restaurant in the US that’s known for milkshakes and tasty food. While keto items at Shake Shack are limited, there are still a few options that will help you stay in ketosis. We have researched the menu and nutritional information to help you understand what you can order at Shake Shack while doing the keto diet.
According to the official nutrition menu, there are 3 keto options available at Shake Shack with under 20g of net carbs.
With the limited items, you can basically eat a few things. Here’s how to order keto at Shake Shack. You can order a burger with lettuce wrap which is around 1 carb. You can put on bacon and pickles as well for more flavor. You could also just order any burger(watch the sauce) with no bun and choose the toppings of your choice. Just watch for the sneaky carbs in some of the sauces.
If burgers are tiring, there are a couple more keto options that you could do if you have a slightly higher carb allowance. You can order the 6 piece Chick n Bite which is 15 carbs. If you want a dipping sauce with it, make sure it fits your macros. There is a hot dog option called the Publican Pork Sausage, which is served with a potato bun at 14 carbs. But if you eat without the bun, it will be slightly fewer carbs. While you won’t be able to pair the delicious options with a side of fries, the few options that we’ve found are enough to tide you over as lunch or a snack. If you were to indulge in their milkshake with your keto options, that would put you way over your carb limit and kick you out of ketosis.
